Every companion is carefully vetted

Our vetting process brings you peace of mind. No one can become a companion until they’ve passed our careful checks. We work with Jumio, the world’s leading AI-powered identity verification and authentication tool to give you the information you need to make the right decisions for yourself or your loved one. Jumio carries out a range of important security checks, verifying a companion’s drivers license, passport and biometric facial recognition. If you want to know more about a potential companion you’ve selected, DBS checks and references are often available on request. 

Ratings and reviews are there to help

Whenever someone books a visit with a companion via the companiions app, we ask them to rate and review the companion. So, when you’re shortlisting potential companions, you can take a look at their ratings and reviews and get a sense of who they are and what to expect. This is the power of community – by submitting a rating or review, the organiser is doing their bit to help to keep others safe and informed. You can feel safe booking a highly rated companion who’s well reviewed by people you know locally.

You can chat on video before you book a visit

It’s important you and your loved one feel safe and comfortable with your chosen companion before you book a visit. Our video chat tool is ideal for ‘meeting’ before committing to an in-person visit. When you connect via video, you can say hello, get to know each other and ask any important questions to make sure it feels like the right match for you. 

Payments are safe and secure

All payments in the companiions app are safely handled by Stripe. This includes identity verification to meet Know your Customer (KYC) requirements. Stripe verifies people’s identity by taking proof of address, so you have peace of mind we know who the companions in our community are. On top of that, we have public liability insurance. This means that every companion who enters you or your loved one’s home is insured, giving you extra protection.
